The alms of a man is as a signet with him, and he will keep the good deeds of man as the apple of the eye, and give repentance to his sons and daughters. Sirach 17:22

Almsgiving saves from death and purges every kind of sin. Those who give alms have their fill of days. Tobit 12:9

Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by showing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquility. Daniel 4:27

What’s New: Another trip to the northern Moldova

Our mission members in Moldova (Oleg Chaykovskiy and Yura Penkovskiy) took another trip to northern Moldova along with Borya Roman and a couple of those young people. On their way there, they stopped to visit a 95-year old woman whom they helped financially, since she has someone who looks after her. Saturday (November 17th) they spent in village Kukoneshty. After a church service they gathered youth (about 10 people) and went to visit elderly people. They also visited a couple of families that were in need and helped them financially.

What’s New: Trip to Moldova

There is a couple of young man working for our mission in Moldova, Oleg Chaykovskiy and Yura Penkovskiy. They decided to travel to northern part of Moldova on October 5th, and help people from our church that are in need. Pastor Borya Roman also joined them on their journey since he knows the place well and knew who needed help in two villages. Before leaving for their trip, they bought fruits which they gave out to people who they visited. Also, they helped out by giving money to those who were in a financial need. They spent the Saturday, October 6th, in Ocnita (a district in northern Moldova). The village that they visited is mostly occupied by elderly and they cannot make church services very often, that is why they held a small church service for the people of the village. On their trip they visited and helped a lot of people in need.
